Your road to level 200

Start at level 1 and earn XP by answering geography questions. You have an overall level based on all your XP combined, plus a separate level in Capitals, Countries, Which country?, Cities, Landmarks and Languages. Each level track stops at 200; your cumulative XP can keep increasing.

How XP works

Every answered question earns 10 XP, plus a bonus based on your score: one XP per 20 score points, rounded for the game and mode. A perfect 1,000-point answer earns 60 XP. A wrong answer still earns the 10 participation XP. Skipping a question earns none.

Signed-in solo sessions, completed private games, bot matches and human matches all count. A mixed match adds XP to each mode you played. Finish your game and check the saved-XP message on the results screen. Leaving a multiplayer match before it finishes does not award match XP.

Seven worldwide leaderboards

Open Ranks to see All modes or choose any of the six mode tabs. The boards compare cumulative XP, so regular play and accurate answers both help. Equal XP shares a global rank. Your public display name, level and progression appear on the board; your account email does not.

Keep progress across devices

Sign in before you start to save XP to your account. Guests can play first, then create a free account on the same browser to claim saved online guest XP. Each guest profile transfers to only one account, including the matching mode XP. Wait for XP to save on the results screen. Older device-only scores cannot be reconstructed for global boards. Your illustrated Atlas and personal bests remain browser-based. My Earth is a separate cloud-saved country collection for your account.

A game did not appear?

Check that you were signed in, answered at least one question and finished the session. Wait for XP to save before leaving. If a solo save is interrupted, use Retry save on the results screen or reopen GeoJig with the same account. Old anonymous games and local high scores cannot be converted into verified global XP.

If something still looks wrong, contact GeoJig with the mode, approximate time and a screenshot. Do not send your password or verification code.
